Busy Philipps Biography

 



Busy Philipps was born on June 25, 1979, .  When she was a toddler, people began to refer to her as “Busy.” There is substantial disagreement among the many accounts regarding the origin of her nickname, namely whether or not it was given to her by her parents or by a babysitter named Susie. During the course of her late-night talk program, Busy Tonight, Busy claimed that her mother was the one who was responsible for giving her the moniker. However, during her book tour, Busy stated that her babysitter was the one who was responsible for giving her the nickname.

This was made very evident in an episode of Comedy Bang! Bang! in which she revealed to presenter Scott Aukerman that the person in question was her babysitter. At that time, Scott Aukerman was working toward establishing his credibility on Wikipedia, and she was assisting him in this endeavor. She attended Loyola Marymount University at the same time as her co-star on Freaks and Geeks, Linda Cardellini, did. After the two of them graduated, she dated Colin Hanks for a number of years. While Philipps was still in high school, she began her career as a real-life Barbie and worked at toy trade fairs. She then went on to pursue a modeling career.
